I liked when Marriott owned the park better. They kept themed unique areas and the park had its own restaurants that were not chains like you see today. Now everything is over commercialized- sponsored by a company or linked to a movie - ( Batman, the dark night, etc. ).

I used to love going there. Remember The Demon?

@crazyforcoasters i get what you're saying, but i feel like we cant make many awesome additions to the park because we don't have the space without taking down old rides that people still love.
-
@xCOASTERFREAKx Even though Hurrricane Harbor brought them the huge attendance figures and was the most successful addition in the history of the park. Taking out HH would be the dumbest thing the park could do.

@MustangMami they should take down hurricane harbor and add an expansion of rides and coasters to the park there...it would be a much better use of space....

dont look that anymore

@Luxornv i didnt even know that about that ride you speaking of, it is still possible that skyhawk was the name of the ride he was thinking of i seem to recall it being called that but i could still be wrong......

@olagguj The ride crassology is thinking of cannot be Skyhawk. That is located at Cedar Point and wasn't built until 2006.
I totally agree. When it was owned by Marriott it was much more fun to go. Entrance fees hardly every rose. The park stayed open late every night. I remember when it used to close at 11pm Sun-Thu and midnight Fri and Sat. And they had the trams to take you to your car. Food was much better then too. I haven't been there since 2000 and don't plan on going usless I win free tickets. They screwed up by putting in a water park. If you want a water park go to San Jose. It's only going to get worse.
