Kyle Paints Busan

A painting based on photos I took on my trip to Busan.

I wasn't entirely happy with the first piece in this series, based on photos from Seoul. I wanted something quicker, looser, more spontaneous.

I had a lot more footage for this episode. I shot nearly the entire painting process. As a result of the camera being there, I painted differently. It was quite interesting, I noticed that the camera forced me to paint more quickly, and to hold my brush differently so the camera could see what I was doing.




Watercolours, graphite and ink on Paper.

Photo manipulation was done using the GIMP software.
