  • @simon472sthlm

  • This Is Good But How Do I Attach The Hair To The Head? ...

Like This ,, Won't The Head Move And The Hair Just Stay At The Same Place? XD

  • what you have to do then is parent the follicles to the head mesh and they will move with it

  • I've made the hair I want using the curves. I did as you did in the video and created a sphere and put hair on it, then transferred that hair from that into the curves. The thing is, I no longer need the sphere with the hair, and yet when I try to get rid of it, and the hair on it, I end up getting the rid of the hair on the curves. Is there any way to keep the hair that I want (the ones on the curves) and get rid of the one that I don't (the sphere and the hair on it)?

  • this is one of the most helpful tutorials i've seen online, the only thing missing here is how to attach the hair to your scalp/model. i don't really understand how to parent follicles so the only thing i can do so far i make the hair. i would like to know how you attach it to your scalp so when you move it the hair moves with the head, but it looks like you're not active anymore since i notice a lot of people asking similar question but no reply.

  • @mtranger r u stupid or wha? parent the folicles to the mesh, its suposed that the mesh is paretned to the rig

  • Heya, after creating your hairs from curves how do you root the hair to scalp for dynamics?

    Thanks in advance~

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I was just wondering though. Since the first ball of hair needs to stick around for the nurbs hair to work. whats the best way of hiding it? Also, how do you go about adding colliders to it so that it wont go through my characters face?

  • yay, finally a tut on youtube thats good on maya hair. cheers dude

  • One question, I have full character (by that I mean head is attached to the body and rigged.) In your opinion would you parent the follicles to the rig? out of curiosity.

  • @OmniCausticInfidel Thanks!
