  • Shame vocoder can't be heard clearer as this track is cool

  • super ;)

  • nice one Leon.';-)

  • I Love It :D

  • @dubhippy yes i was stating that snoop song uses a talk box.

and thanks for all the extra info : )

  • i'm not sure what song you're talking about, but I THINK snoop, like cher, used the newer software based pitch transposition effect.

there are several ways to get "robot effects" besides vocoders...

    talk boxes

    ring modulators

    phaser/flangers

    &

LFO modulation (vibrato? i forgot what it's called, i think vibrato = pitch bending)

even with vocoders too, you can get a HUGE variety of effects depending on what you use as your carrier wave & it's pitch. square waves = the classic "cylon" sound

  • bit of a corker is this, thanks for upping it :D

  • there are many kinds of vocoding...

one is by hardware, and like rolands stuff.

which are most times pitch sensible.

    to notes etc.

some are harder but more robotic likr those sound like CYLONS, they always deliver the same pitch.

and then there is mouthpieces, like snoop dogg in sensual seduction, those are called... hmmm , brain blank....

cant recall... too much... need brain...

    talk box

  • Cool tune m8, but I'm sure this is the 87 version..the best of the two versions available! This one has the pink label!

    Love this obscure one!

  • You're right it doesn't sound like a vocoder. I wonder if Bonny M used the same for their song.
