The local endpoint is a C90 making use of MultiSite. Just another good reason why using Open Standards is a very good thing. The AM Gateway is just there to compensate for non-believers.
Another point I should make is that Tandberg kit isn't just "standards based", it is "standards compliant". Saying it is 'based' implies that extra modifications have been made c.f. FaceTime/Skype. Any Tandberg endpoint can be used directly in any other solution that obeys the standard and has the a/v codecs.
