Maia Campbell was a sitcom star on the rise until everything fell apart. She became addicted to drugs, stopped treating her bipolar disorder, lost custody of her daughter and was arrested. Now, Iyanla Vanzant has taken Maia to a theater and wants to cast her in the leading role of her authentic life. To do so, Maia must understand how poor choices got her to where she is today—living in a residential treatment center. Watch as Iyanla asks Maia to look at her mug shot and confront the shame she feels about her past.

    When I look into her eyes in the mugshot photo, I see Whitney Houston at her lowest point. My heart aches for the both of them. I wish somebody could have helped Whitney too, instead of enabling her.
