  • I invented YADDA YADDA. in 1971 when i was in college four guys across the hall were brainstorming someones assignment to come up with a new word or saying. I suggested YADDA YADDA. they didn't like it , but I did . ilater, in nyc, I worked with DON IMUS at WNBC radio. I used it around him and CHARLES McCORD and told them of its origin. in 1986 I was a stage manager at MTV . JOE DAVOLA brought by JERRY SEINFELD for a tour of the studio .while talking with jerry I used YADDA YADDA.

  • It stops before 0:04

  • @mashug2

That's because after Seinfeld the colloquialism got put into the dictionary as a substitute for Blah Blah Blah. I didn't know what it meant but I knew it was Yiddish. However I had heard this saying for years used as a blah blah blah or just to pass an amount of time in a story. For example. I went to the bar next thing you know yada yada yada I woke up next to a pig and a Chinese hooker with a hair lip.

  • You yadda yadda yadda over the best part

  • @DukeStarbuckle This might be a year late, but *4 second video

  • It's amazing how this idiom has been engraved into American English. Whether it means to have sexual intercourse in Hebrew or not, it's most commonly referred to as a replacement for the phrase "and so on, and so forth." Whether this is true in all parts of the country, I have no idea, but I certainly have experienced numerous school teachers using it in such a manner...

  • Hey, this quote actually won #1 in the top 50 best TV quotes. It actually beat out D'oh!

  • Oh, I am SO saying that to my rabbi on Friday night services.

  • Hey, it's Carlo, I can't answer my phone right now so leave me a message.
