The Bible itself is known as a historically correct document, whether you believe in God or not.

That is because not once has it been proven false... it has only gained MORE and MORE evidence that it is true through archaeologically finds (like Noah's Arc for ex.)

That said, look on wikipedia 'massacre of the innocents' and you will find that in the 2nd century and late 4th century there are accounts of the massacre.

The flight to Egypt must be assumed to be true, since Jesus lived.
