im with you..im not burning anything indoors... but can you use rubbing alcohol??? just curious..never heard of an alcohol stove until i stumbled on it...

I agree with you. The S-L-X is garbage.. I tried the stuff once in my alcohol stoves and instantly went to another brand that is "no more then 4% methanol" Works great now. The heet is good too.. :)

Interesting review, thanks for posting this up. I never would have considered air brake antifreeze to be a good methanol source. I've been using SLX for a very long time with very good results, no soot and no discoloration of my pots. I don't use a wide variety of stuff as I only own Evernew Titanium products along with a few of my own homemade stoves.
