My AXL Badwater guitar only has 21 frets and the Leper Messiah solo requires 22. But I just played it like I had 22 frets, see if you can tell a difference and order a copy of my book, How to Become a Guitar Player from Hell. You'll love it. Buy some of my other books too for all your loved ones. Thanks.

  • are you jason earles from the one in hannah monatana????

  • nope; different guy.

  • I couldn't tell the difference, the notes on the higher frets are so high pitched, that you really can't tell, unless you know it. But I don't think you'll be seeing Kirk playing it like this, if you have 22 frets, why not use 'em.

  • When I "fret" where the 22nd fret is supposed to be, it actually creates a high "plinking" sound roughly the same pitch as a real note at the 22nd fret, and since the solo is fairly fast, it's hard for the ear to tell it's only a "plink" instead of a real note. You're right, we won't be seeing Kirk play it this way, he could easily afford a guitar with 99 frets if he wanted. Thanks for your comment.

  • very good!!!! this solo is awesome
