@chris22452245 Technically, you can teach yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it. First, a teacher will show you proper form; it's very easy to get into bad habits that will limit your progress or, in the case of ergonomic errors, lead to injury. Second, a teacher can answer questions and listen to your music so you know what you're doing well, what you can do better, and when it's time to advance to the next level.

Sadly I have no way to get to a teacher, so I have to teach myself.

I am a sophmore and I have met a great violist who is a senior. I pay 20 dollars a lesson for an hour every week. His teacher I think is 25 or 30 and is a professional.

My teacher is an ass, he's mean, disrespectful, rude and hurts ur feelings. He doesn't even play violin. But my parents can't afford me a good teacher so I have to stay with this jack ass who teaches at my school . I have been playing fir two years and I don't know vibrato or the different position. Anyway thanx for the advice. How much do u think lessons would cost. I'm 13. P.s. Please excuse my french
