Something I pieced together to showcase parts of the film in a way which would reflect my own fear as a child when watching this. It obviously has the desired effect because it's given people a lot to talk about. My suggestion to anyone: Watch the film in it's entirety or read the book before making any judgement.

My personal view is that the film is beautifully made and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I was frightened by a couple of parts as a child but it was still one of my favourite films!

My video is not for the eyes of small children. Whether the film is or not is up to you. As I have said, it was a childhood favourite of mine, although the novel was written for adults, not children.

Thank you for watching. =]

This is the honest truth: This video is the first video I ever saw on Youtube. 6 years ago, I was a small innocent child first exploring the internet looking for rabbits when I found this..Now I'm in LOVE with Watership Down and have been since. This video shaped my future. Well played, my friend.

Dad: Well first lets watch a film.

    Kids: YAY!

    Later that day

    Kids: NO PETS! :'(

Oh, yeah. My friend and I love MP so I showed her the killer bunny clip and said, "This is what the movie I recently saw showed."

Don't get me wrong, I adore the book and film. Though gory, it's a great story.

I read the book and was afraid of watching the film as well... but the fear tortured me and I forced myself to watch and actually really liked the film; it was loyal to the book. The one part that I had to cover my eyes at though was when Capt. Holly spoke of the Sandleford warren's destruction.

I do recommend you give it a try, and if it gets too overwhelming, you at least know you tried.

If you do, I hope you enjoy it.

Watership Down and The Plague Dogs both sort of traumatized me as a child, but ultimately played a huge part in the development of my sense of compassion and empathy. Hugely effective to a kid who is typically being fed Care Bears and Duck Tales.

I have only read the book, and I loved it.

I'm not sure I can watch this without getting a nightmare.

Here's one, I watched this one as a Kiddo and I am still afraid to watch it, but the shivers it keeps giving me makes me watch it once every few years after four weeks of mental exercise.
