Apparently Gretsch doesn't offer a case for this bass. Is there an aftermarket case you recommend?

dude i coukd not agree more i loved the vyd great job but um what are the notes on the basses short scale
-
is it good for a punk band that does some break downs?
-
People who own this bass:
I like to play pretty heavily distorted (a la John Entwistle). How will this bass hold up???
-
Would you recommend this to a 24 yo beginner?
-

If you're able to I'd love to hear a short demo of how it sounds, I'm thinking of getting one. Anyway thanks very much for the review.

it will help people to find this video if you put G2202 on the name. One question: Does i really need to put on it short scale strings?
TheRobert, thanx for the suggestion. You should be fine without short scale strings. (just a personal opinion, not fact) However I noticed that if you go reg strings your fingers get tore up a little. Short scale strings are nice because they are not as big and don't give that much tension.
I would stick with short scale stuff.

orlyma I was looking at the fender as well. My buddy has one who really loves it but he said it was a toss up (to him) as to which one to get. They just went for the fender in a coin toss. i love the Gretsch because its simple.
Bboy. who cares what people say. Tell him I'm 27 and love the fact that I don't have to reach all the way to heaven to play a low C or G. Keep on rockin, that's all that counts!
