Agreed, Mikkitiny, a very good interview, except for the part regarding the Koreans, who has the right and should be allowed the freedom to launch its rockets without permission or agreement from anyone. no, you are not quite right. human population grows, planet resources are dwindling. it's quite possible that at some point life on the planet may meet big problems with resources. where to take them from? logically, look for them on space objects. but it requires corresponding space technologies and experience and it can not be gotten in a short time. so, despite all tasks on the Earth space exploration must be continued.

very good interview with very good specialist. it's clear that space race of the past does not exists any more. it's very relative term now. and both countries are working on, i would say, first approaches to the extremely ambitious project Flight to Mars. technically the task is immense.

thats exactly my point, we have explored more of space than our own oceans, and for nothing, waste of resources and bright minds. we should focus on earthly problems from food to energy to eliminating discrimination amongst people...etc
