Fun fact. Asteroids in asteroid fields are very far away from each other. If you were to take a spaceship and pick a random direction straight through our own asteroid field, you *****MIGHT***** see a faint glint of sunlight bouncing off an asteroid far far far away from you. Your chances of running into an asteroid is pretty low.
