3:25 what station were you at?

No locos at the Ranelegh Bridge stabling point I see..
I gave up spottong in 1981.. can't see why anybody does it nowadays, there is absolutely nothing to look at except a ceaseless hegemony of banal multiple units in garish lollipop-liveries. The triumph of further uniformity and profit-driven consolidation. No wonder the heritage railways are booming eh?

@4SRKT It used to be the same in the York/Hull area back in the late seventies , only this time the culprit was 31 412. We used to see it every week.

This is 1 of the best vids I have seen stuff happening and a variety of trains its great. It just so happens I am modelling the early 80s so I am bias but still there is a lot going on and the filming is quite good too; well done.
Great days. I'd meet my dad on Friday evening at Paddington and we'd grab a beer and watch all the 50's go in and out to Oxford and Theale and the like with the odd chocolate and cream dmu thrown in with a few 47's for good measure. All gone, I'm afraid - but some great vids to remember them by. The world is becoming boring!

Happy spotting days at Paddington ! I loved the Hoovers, that proper Diesel sound still gives me the goosebumps !
Spent many days there and at Old Oak Common , it's all changed now, never the same when Loco's were replaced by even more multiple Units.
