  • The Fuzzy Mountain Stringband got their version from Tommy Jarrell.

  • @Jorsh123 Hey you seem to know some stuff. Do you know where the version of Sally Ann that the Fuzzy Mountain Stringband plays comes from?

  • This tune sounds like a tune called "Cat Tracks" and don't remember who composed it.

  • I love that haunting sound from the fiddle. Perfect for a song about a lynching.

  • Co to ma byc ?

  • I absolutely agree. I'm trying to learn a version played by Fuzzy Mtn String Band, but this version gets into my soul!!

  • Thanks for posting that. I've wondered about this version of Sally Ann ever since I heard it on Dirk Powell's Time Again

  • i can remember Byard Ray playing a version very much like this one. Which makes sense as much of David's fiddling was got from this neck of the woods

  • The Freight Hoppers are awesome

  • Best version of Sally Ann I've ever heard.

    Really digging the fiddle.

    Such a mournful drone...

    Nice pulsating tempo.

    Can't stop rockin'!
