A collection of music recorded from the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy's feature performance at First Baptist Church in Eugene, Oregon.
The Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy is a performing group of the Oregon Bach Festival, an event held annually in Eugene from near the end of June into July. Recently having been renamed after the family of Brad Stangeland for their very generous donations, the Youth Choral Academy is a group of about 80 of the most talented high school musicians from across the nation, who come together for eleven days to put on various performances. Although most members are from the Oregon and Washington area, auditions are open to anyone in the United States. This year's academy body represented ten different states, from as far as Vermont. The group is under the direction of conductor Dr. Anton Armstrong of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and is currently managed by Mia Hall Savage, artistic director of the Pacific Youth Choir.
