A short vid showing a 12 volt setup used to charge USB devices.

Shown is a Yuan VB1205S 1W DC-DC converter on a breadboard that is charging a Sansa Mp3 player via a 12 volt AGM battery.

  • doesn't the USB plug need 500mA?

  • @latinbala4sho no, it converts 12VDC to 5VDC. it probably also limits current to somewhere around 1.5A

  • So does it basically convert DC voltage to AC voltage?

  • I bought my first Sansa and I'm charging it for the first time, but it just shows the Sandisk at 1:05, but nothing else.

    Is it charging?

  • Hi, i'm using a 7805 stabilizer for the same purposes. But i need get more amps. Can i connect more 7805s into parallel connection?
