Bob Mintzer is the second tenor soloist
-
HE HAD IT IN Overdrive- full Power, hea..
-
The one with Gary Pribeck is faster (Holland 1978). Mintzer's solo is great, but Pribeck's really smoke's.

What a FUCKING MONSTER on that snare. JEBARS!!
-
Gee, "GROUP W", thanks for the F-ing CRAP on the screen.
-
@retrop75 same for jon burr who still looks super young btw..I just played w/ him last year he looks 30 something!

Buddy Rich Orchestra never sounded better. Kiener a genius on piano, Marcus and Mintzer equally masterfully artistic on tenor saxes, the whole band like a machine, and Stahl riding on top with his other-worldly lead trumpet! Can't stop listening to this- THANKS!

Best version of Ya Gotta Try i ever heard by the band Buddy thought was his greatest. Everyone was tight and swinging.

lol gotta love the gum chewing Buddy was doing during the entire set. and this is by far the BEST ensemble Buddy had ever put together. The Killer Force of '76.
Bill Blount, Alan Gauvin on altos, Turk Mauro on Baritone.
Rick Stepton, Clint Sharman and David Boyle on trombones, Jon Burr on Bass.
