This is awesome! I'm thinking about teaching in korea, except I want to teach in a public school. Oh and you totally look like Morgan Freeman from halflife
I teach in NY and will be in Korea in January. I suggest planning in units with goals then find a way to assess whether or not students have learned those goals. Also keep their prior knowledge in consideration. It's easier to plan in unit blocks (like 2-4 weeks a unit) and fill in the day-to-day stuff than to always prep just for that day. So figure a few good hours to prep a unit, and maybe a half-hour a day, maybe an hour here or there. It's just a matter of finding the right rhythm.
I'm so jealous that you live in Gwangju. I spent a few years there and just loved life while I was there. The music that was playing from those cars the men were riding was the same music as the cars at Everland..I suggest a trip there...it's sort of surreal. Thanks for sparking such great memories and if you happen to find yourself at the Speakeasy, tell Dave and Mike that the guy who sings the Amputee Song says hi.
I think the Santa Clause joke was funny. Depressing but funny.
