ATWT 9-15: Holden, Lily, Carly and Jack unite to find Ethan

0:00 - Promos for CBS' other soaps. In terms of ratings, only Guiding Light is lower than ATWT. Both are in the Bottom 4 soaps. Earlier this year, ATWT even made Top 3, but several things probably returned it to the bottom: The departure of Will & Gwen, the departure of Martha Byrne (and the continued negative decline of Lily) and homophobic dislike of Nuke. Whether we want to admit it or not, Nuke fans have little power and the important viewers are middle aged and older homemakers who are actually home 9-5 to watch the ads and contribute to Nielsen numbers. YouTube viewers don't help and even hurt. I can provide a detailed analysis upon request
0:48 - Natalie: "walked out to the patio" She saw him walking out and didn't stop him??? Faith was busy, Holden wasn't there and Lily was horny, but Natalie had no excuse...
4:01 - Lily caressing and comforting Faith. This is much more like the old motherly Lily. If Beck would do more of this, I wouldn't criticize her as much. Again, gestures like these are usually not written in the script and are improvised by the actors. Being mothers themselves, both Byrne and Beck can easily relate to Lily's despair
4:15 - Jack: "it's Holden" What's Jack's problem? First off, he never had any right to be upset that Holden slept with with his ex, Carly. Jack was already dating Janet and made clear that he didn't want Carly. Second, Jack was dating Janet, his brother's ex, so he's being hypocritical. In fact, Brad was upset by it in the begining. And third, Jack and Holden had made their peace at Aaron's wedding. So wassup with the attitude? As Carly says, it's probably something important

How come no one is calling Luke? He and Noah are both able-bodied young men who can do a lot of physical searching -- especially in the pond. Luke is a good swimmer (he saved his high school crush, Kevin, from drowning. Even gave him m☺uth-to-m☺uth). It seems almost as if Luke is living in a different town sometimes. Luke was also absent when Lily and Lucinda were held hostage by the syringe killer. They can text message him if he's in class so that he can read it later

5:48 - Holden: "Jack will put out Amber Alerts" Unfortunately, that won't happen because Jack just resigned from the police. In another major storyline, he was pressured by Brad, Katie and Janet into hiding evidence that can put Brad in jail (he pushed Leo into the water, almost drowning him). For foreigners, an Amber Alert is put out by the police when a child is kidnapped. Descriptions of the victim is flashed on TV, highway signs and aired on the radio
5:54 - Lily: "Luke and my mother are away on business" Ah, okay that's a good reason to not call Luke. Why is he away when school has already started? And if it's business for his foundation, I hope Luke is more professional and less volatile than he's been with Brian. Philanthropic people generally won't put up with such childish behavior
6:28 - Lily: "What is she doing here?" Just as I was feeling sympathy for Lily, the bitch returns. If she harbors such consuming hatred (enough to kill with her car), why isn't she getting therapy?
9:03 - Jack: "it wasn't this dug up" In another major storyline, Meg's husband Paul is trying to save Emma's land from being condemned due to toxicity. The problem turned out to be much worse and in a desperate attempt for money to do the work, he went to a loanshark (who has kidnapped Gay Henry and archenmies Bonnie and Vienna). Paul's evil father claimed that there is treasure buried in Emma's land so Paul is secretly digging in hopes of repaying the loan. That was the loud sound that Emma heard during Aaron's ewedding (and not Lily's vibrator as I had claimed!). I'm actually not following that story so I don't know much more.
