@treehuggerdude4 such as food, shelter, education, political solidarity, etc. These things are NOT fantasy, they are very real. So you should be more respectful and refrain from saying things that could offend people who have a different relationship to religion than you do. Fine; religion for you is meaningless. It doesnt mean that religion itself is meaningless or followers of it are delusional. Its simply a reflection of your ideals and values.

People might dismiss religions in general as a waste of time and as delusional yet the themes of social justice and the advocacy of people mobilized through the church or mosque is important today as much as it has been important in the past. While religions have done negative things as well, they have shared important resources
