  • Rotor engines are the bomb! I also owned a FD3S next to the viper and loved it!!

  • Don't forget that the viper got 930Nm of torque. against the Rx7 thats got like 650Nm

Rx7 now got new turbo's so should be a closer call next time.

  • Well this video was very poorly done.

  • Both cars are cool, but a 3 rotor would be amazing to own.

  • @jnava357 they have engine mounts for the 3 rotor FD now... do not cost much...

  • A good car is car that race's on track.

A Great car is a car that gets banned from that track.

Mazda 787B & all rotary engine's were banned from le mans after the 787B won that day :(

  • @TheDrutters Just a Viper? How many 110k cars do you have?

  • At the end of the day, this Viper is still just a Viper.

  • vipers are cool but I would rather own a stock fd any day.

  • I think it is so worth it. I currently have a 91 Galant VR4 and these cars are just special, but I've had my heart on a rotary for a long time and looks like this year is going to be my lucky year. I'll play with the 13b until it's time for the 20b. I've seen plenty of lsx rx7, but not many 20b in the dfw

  • I was recently looking into 20b installs and the price list is quite interesting. The subframe can be replaced for $1600 or straight bolt on kit with out removing the subframe for near 2.5k-3.5k with P/S and A/C and use of stock trans, Of course the engine is 4k, plus you want to do a rebuild to be sure it is in top condition, another 2-2.5k. Microtech and some tuning, about 2k a on that front. Plus install which requires some serious man hours to do. I've seen full turnkey quotes at 25-35k.

  • @bigfootsie50 I think I know why he had to get a rebuild done twice. Its b/c one of the main cases is he must have not been checking his oil level every 2-3 gas fillups to check if the oil was tiptop. B/c its essential for a rotary to have oil always filled to the top b/c this engines live on oil, they can't survive without oil. A rotary engines drinks 1-2quarts of oil every 1.5-2k miles. If he didn't top it off, the apex seals might have gotten bent due to lack of lubrication.

  • I love rx7s but of the few people I know that have them. They all have had to rebuild the motor at between 50k-80k miles. My friends rx7, he had to rebuild twice. once around 65k miles and again at 140k miles. And he had to go ONLY to either Mazda or an RX7 specialized shop.

  • I didn't know that Hugh Hefner tuned Vipers, I want to get my car dynoed at the Bunny Ranch.
