@privettricker That's the one. Thanks a bunch, for this lick and all the others. I tell everyone I know who loves the Stones about this channel, by the way.

Another excellent cover as always.

Brown Sugar was the first tune I tried using open G. It was an "A HA" moment fo rme, caused I played BS for a long time in std tuning, knowing it wasnt right. #1 Stones tune for me and was written by Mick.

your an awesome player i hope to be half as good as u one day.....how many guitars do u own lol ?
Can you explain a little about what's happening as Keith transitions into the chorus?

@IanLozada You mean that part at 2:20? Keith hits an open G chord and then slides up on the A string to the 4th fret, then hits the picks the open D and G strings, finishing it off by fretting the D string at the 5th fret. You get that effect of 2 G notes in a row right at the tail end of it, one with an open G string and then one on the D string at the 5th fret. He does the same little lick a few times in Before They Make Me Run.

Hi, I really admire your ability to decode the complexity of KR's playing. The 'Sympathy' solo really got me excited. This one is super close. The one thing I would like to see you do differently is play less. Instead of playing straight eighth notes, one of the things I love about KR's playing is the empty spaces where there is nothing. It gives emphasis to what is - kind of like empty spaces on a canvas countered by brush strokes - gives terrific rhythm to this song.

@stuff2dovan There's a fellow who plays exactly like that, and there are plenty of YouTube videos of him that you might want to check out. Just do a search for "Keith Richards." You won't be disappointed.
