I understand what you mean, but still the genre "acoustic guitar / voice " has its limitations and A LOT of people working within it. Its pretty likely there will be some overlapping similairities now and then. If its well done... I dont mind. I think the quest to simply sound "different" leads certain people to fabricate certain things in their style in order to simply not sound like they are ripping off someone (forced weird vocal inflections and whatnot) Sometimes it hurts the music (imho).

mark kozelek has a style entirely his own
