A frequently flew Frontier's Convairs when I was a boy.

They used these planes here for Frontier Airlines, not sure when they pulled them from service. Flew back from Denver on one in 1968. Ran into some turbulence & every body woke up that was asleep, quick. It didn't really bother me.

Good video until you tried to get "creative" at the end with the white outline garbage.

Those 501-Ds are a trick to start without frying the starter. Ah, the days when starting an airplane engine was an art...

I'll take AMFA over the IAM any day of the week. The IAM fags are a bunch of bag-slammers who are unskilled. The AMFA certified technician is the equivalent of a highly trained surgeon. Long live the honorable! WE KEPT THESE BIRDS IN THE SKY!

Must be the inverter I am hearing before startup. I remember you could feel it under your feet at the cockpit entry if it was an old rotary style one.
Wonderful! I fly 580's in my desktop flight simulator, complete with a custom 580 panel and Allison sound package. Watching this makes me want to go flying!
