This what happens to Crosby Ditch AKA Crosby Run in Valparaiso Indiana after every rain. The BRAND NEW Water Fall and also Huge bank erosion at the end of this video is the result of increased water flow from recent changes. The recent project is also called the Union Street Water shed, also known as the Hilltop Neighborhood improvements. Also know as Franklin Street Project. The city of Valparaiso's engineering Office has seen this video. The new storm water improvements are supposed to help this situation. As you can see, there's not much more room left for increased flow or increased pressure, I'd hate to see this after a 4 or 5 inch rain! The beginning of the video shows the white pipe which is the Franklin Street storm sewer and how it gets backed up during heavy rains, due to the increase of water during any normal rainfall.
