The third inning of the championship game at the WWL's seventh-annual tournament. Ryan Walters and Zach Schadler squared off for the second year in a row. Last year, Walters' corkscrew sinker proved unhittable on his way to the title.

  • how do u guys no the speeds

  • It's really more of a guess--I watched each pitch frame by frame, counted the number of frames from the point of release to the strike zone (or ground), used the number of frames multiplied by the frame rate to compute the reaction time, and divided by the approximate distance covered to get an estimate of speed. I'd guess that most of the speeds are accurate within 5-8 MPH.

  • two words...... RADAR GUN

  • We actually just bought a radar gun! Hopefully we'll do a feature on some of the league's fastest pitchers in the future.
