Ms. Hill's Elementary School Music Classes in Salt Lake City sent in a number of wonderful questions in preparation for their live HD screening of "The Enchanted Island" from the Metropolitan Opera on January 21st. I'm joined by Luca Pisaroni who plays my son, Caliban, to answer a few of their questions.

I'm so thrilled and moved by the fact that elementary school students are going to a screening of the opera. We're sooo smug here in NYC and think we live in the center of the universe, but I bet there's not a single school student here who will attend a performance of an opera. Brava, Ms. Hill!

I went to celebrate my 54th birthday all by myself on Saturday, January 28 at the Met hoping to see Placido Domingo and witness his marvel in the opera, however, I was mesmerized by all of you and your performance...I am a part time college professor and would love to take my students to the opera...thus giving them more culture than just classes to find a job...the arts is needed to become an intellectual and appreciative of all things human.

I just went to the performance yesterday, and I AM STILL ASTOUNDED. Absolute artistry and beauty on stage last night! Could not have asked for anything better in an opera.

I am a Brazilian singer and I understand Mr. Pisaroni concerning English words. We are going to perform "La Grand Duchesse of Gerolstein", by Offenbach, in English and it is pretty hard for me. Thank you, Ms. DiDonato for this wonderful interview!
