Spaceport runway dedicated

history is made in southern new mexico - as officials unveiled the recently completed two mile long runway at spaceport america near t- or-c. hundreds of people turned out - including sir richard branson - astraunat buzz aldrin - and officials from nasa. virgin galactic also landed its white-knight aircraft at the spaceport today. and officials say they hope to start flying paying customers to the edge of earth's atmosphere in the next year and a half. "the last five years we've been working hard making sure that we have a spaceship, we have a mothership, that's fit for purpose for new mexico and we're nearly ready to be operating from here." a trip on virgin galactic's space ship two will run around two- hundred thousand dollars a ticket. already nearly 400 people have put down deposits to make the trip
