pnmeeuh merely said "what an idiot" (refering to Mr. Ritter) I was being Ironic! I realize the usefulness of framing devices like "support the troops" which create a dislocation between what you corectly labeled "support the troops" and "support the war"...I just hope silly pnmeeuh didn't think i was on his side. I was just pointing to pnmeeuh's great depth in his analysis jeje.

This "Support The Troops" crap is a term designed by Neo-Cons to trick people into consigning consent. Who doesn't want to "support the troops"? Everyone does. By "Support The Troops", the powers that be actually mean "Support The War Policy". The civilian politicians who pushed through the Iraq war initiative couldn't care less about the troops. Once they come home, after they've been mutilated, both physically and mentally, they're discarded by the institution. That's a sad fact.

This guy Ritter isn't insulting "Americans" or "America", he's insulting politicians and policies that are in violation of our Constitution. How can that challenged? We know we're in Iraq illegally.

If Russia attacked the US pre-emptively because they thought we were going to strike on them, and then they entered and occupied our country, would that be illegal, too? Our troops aren't at fault. They're following the orders given them by their commander-in-chief.
