Ok so the reason the song was changed to English was only so English speaking/non-German speaking ppl would know what the song is abt. But it didn't CHANGE the meaning of the original song at all. I think nena is amazing and I also think Goldfinger put a real nice heavy "oomph" to this song... So far every version by both bands I've heard I have loved.

just to clarify, this song is not about supporting socialist ideas. the song actually entertains the possibility that a mass of balloons could, over radar, be perceived as a threat and trigger a militaristic overreaction and a possibility of nuclear war.
