I Need A Little Love by Carly Hennessy from her 2001 album "Ultimate High". Now known as Carly Smithson, she finished 6th on American Idol 7. This album is packed with great songs. What I love about the album is the diversity of the tracks. No sound alikes here.

It sounds like they asked her sound American in her singing, because she sure as hell doesn't sound like this when she talks.

Track down some Danielle Brisebois music and all will be explained. Danielle was a producer on the album and much of what ended up on "Ultimate High" was Carly channeling Danielle's demo tracks. Then listen to Carly singing the Bridge of Hope demo, that predates this by several years, that is up on YouTube and it sounds more Idol-Carly like. It is called being versatile.

She sounds COMPLETELY different here... Does anyone else find that kind of strange? I mean, I know people's voices change, but they sounds like totally different singers.

Both Carly's and David Cook's previous CDs were outstanding. They would have sold millions IF anyone had heard of them then! lol Fortunately now, for both of them, more people DO know who they are. Myself, I would buy anything that either of them released. I do have David Cook's Analog Heart CD and it is PHENOMENAL.

Fortunately I bought it years ago before anyone ever heard of her for about $2.00. It is available on line at several websites. Check Amazon, ebay.
