  • When I first saw this, I thought Joseph was a girl, but once I fond out who he was, I've become a big fan. I love Hayley, she's an amazing singer, Aled is also one of my favourites. I've listened to the choir boys a few times- wonderful voices, and Amy is very good, too.

  • Hayley is AMZING!

  • @dylantiger2 Yes, I have been in the show twice. I'm asking about the performer who played the role:)

  • @dylantiger2 have u ever watched the film?

  • Isn't the girl in the white from Celtic women?

  • I totally agree with you, smartsingingurl.

  • @Katelovesglee Hey sorry, I hit the wrong button. Yeah, a local theatre did a production of Oliver!, and it was amazing. A lot of kids and people who haven't have a lick of singing lessons or anything can put professionals to shame. So I really like your comment, but I knida hit the down button. Soooo sorry for that. But you are right.

  • I'm in a local production if Oliver and it's only a small town so most of the performers aren't professional. But to be honest... I prefer them to this. This is beautiful but it seems so fake ( yeah I know it is but it's not natural) and the Rose seller is only like 17 but she has an amazing sweet voice, the milkmaid is 16 and she's brilliant and the strawberry seller is barely 15 and her voice is powerful! And sure we have a knife grinder who's only 11 and he's fantastic!

  • beautiful! beautiful! beautiful! viva la oliver! viva la Charles Dickens

  • this is gorgeous

  • @sorchathingy

Perhaps you only watched the movie, which actually departed rather dramatically from the original musical in many ways, but there is actually only "supposed" to be 1 milkmaid...at least that's how the music was written. Maybe instead of focusing on how it doesn't fit *your* idea of how it should be, you could try to appreciate it as its own individual performance with individual merits.

  • I'm playing the knife grinder in my school's production.

    Wish me luck.
