    Great question. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers to this one though. However, sometimes have zero money to spend on your films can be a good thing. It forces you to use your creativity to come up with cool stuff you otherwise wouldn't have tried if you had money. So if you already have a camera and a computer to edit with, just make stuff with no budget and see what happens.
