@jbmaru Its just a trumpet with a harmon mute in. Since it is a musical score for a film it'll be hard to find a genre that matches it exactly, but I'd try latin jazz probably. There is also Western style music (Cowboy songs and such). Also, you can never go wrong with Big Band & Swing. In general though, harmon mutes are used throughout all subgenres of jazz, so just explore and find a style you like! Wikipedia can give you a comprehensive list of jazz subgenres.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what's the exact name of the "jazzy trumpet" in "Shootout at Rio Seco"? I like this instrument and would like to find more music where it is used.

The song at 4:32 is "Hitch Settles a Score" good track I like 6:10 "Riding Off" That scene always reminds of the classic western ending.
