mosberg is a cheap unaccurat rifle stevens offbrand made by savage remington 700 good accuracy but they think way to highly of their rifles wetherby vangard is ok accuracy but not great by anymeans savage builds the most accurat factory rifle on the market today

Off course Browning Safari Bar II is the best and perfect .308.Anything shot by .308 can not walk or w/30.06.I don't like bolt action rifles.
im a beginner at deer hunting and im looking to buy my first rifle. i know about what i want but im not totally sure. I have been looking at a Mossberg 817 bolt action 17hmr. With the right ammo, would this be suitable for deer? or should i look for a higher caliber? Plz help :) thnx!

@lilsister36274 You said at deer hunting? A gun chambered in 17hmr? No. You know thats a small game round? Smaller than a .22LR. The lowest I would go is a .243 or 6.5. For a beginner I would say the .243 or a .270 for deer. NOTHING SMALLER! As for the firearm. I am a huge fan of the weatherby line. They have vanguards for cheap and they are high quality. I would also say that you can't go wrong with a remington 700. I would generally try to avoid mossberg.
