    Luiz

  • nice work man keep up the good work ... :)

  • Thank you for the support

    Best of luck,

    Luiz

  • 100% pro,parabéns.

vc aprendeu sozinho ou cursou alguma escola de 3D?

  • Valeu!

    Eu aprendi sozinho...

    Abraço,

    Luiz

  • @TheLuEdu yeah? actually yesterday i made this kind of spine i think copy rotaion const on chest and the bones between chest and the root bone in the lowspine area constraining to this root bone. and a bone pointing down from it for hip rotation, very good, but not fully satisfied, so today i will try some different technicues, ik-fk stretchy spine and spline spine! thanks for the support! peace!

  • @golemkonty Reading my own answer I think I may have leaded to confusion here.

The spine are parented in a regular way pointing up, from the hip. Then I freeze the transformations (very important) and wire the rotations (on all axis, in a new controller) to the top bone of the chain. So when you rotate this top bone you have an arch effect. The top bone is the only one animated but you can animate all of them.

The same goes from the hip down to the pelvis bone(the one that will be animated)

  • @TheLuEdu thank you very much for the info! i never thinked for putting the spline from top to bottom! i will try this in Blender. and for skeleton - i know what pain in the ass is to setup this kind of spine with many bones that share rotations of the parent and children! in fact i did this kind of spine some time ago with about 15 joints and its awful to setup. but my spline was pointing up from the hips! keep up the good work! peace!

  • golemkonty , Thanks for the support!

The bones are parented from bottom to up and wired from up to bottom so when you rotate the top bone you have an arch effect on the lower ones and you can still rotate all of them individually.

From the hips down the bones are pointed down.

The skeleton was more complex because of the amount of bones and every spine disk shares the rotation of the top and botton bones.

The key to achive a good movement is the joint placement.

    Best of luck!

    Luiz

  • awesome works! can you share some secrets about the spine setup of the life-like skeleton rig? what you did to make this contortion girls - spine movement?
