@Phanndango It's just north of Vancouver. More of a sleepy town with a Ferry terminal attached, that's all. But it didn't take long for the vessel to be removed.
Thank god no one was injured.

Worked on that ship when it was brand new (Oiler). It replaced some of the other ships out of Tswassen occasionally. It was probably a fuck up with the pneumatic controls as they could be transferred to one end or the other or directly to the engine room and steering gears. Best job I ever had!

@cksilverado1 There were no tugboats in this area. This is just a small town and things like this rarely happen so why would they have tugboats in a small community?
-
@supernobama2 actually this was only the crashing in the boats. The captian wasn't late on the horn. He actually started blasting the horn way sooner, my mom just missed this ferry by 1 car. I watched on the news as I was getting ready to fly to Edmonton a few days later.

@liveguns about an hour and a half

how much does each boat costs?

Ya the captain of this boat did the right thing by hitting the boats instead of the terminal. I think this boat the queen of oak bay crashed because a bolt came off something in the engine room and caused the reverse thrusters to malfuction.
