Such a shame Roundhouse no longer make a meths fired loco. I also have a 1984 Lady Anne with small cylinders. I must make some wooden buffers.

Yes, you are right, they are so relaxing to run. Simple and uncomplicated. I made a train of simple open wagons with a guards van, all weighted down to give the loco some work, and to steady her up, being manual control. Then sit back and relax and watch and listen to the gentle railway sounds on a summer's afternoon, bliss...

Really great video and loco! I have one of these early Lady Anne locos too. Mine's from 1984, but it still goes great. Amazing for such old locos! They are what made Roundhouse great. Mine is original in the Maroon colour, and has the later single meths tank, but it has an enclosed cab back with spectacle plates. It still has it's original small cylinders too. They are really well made. I haven't run mine for years as I have no railway of my own. Thanks again for bringing back great memories!

Hi and thanks for the kind words. I was amazed at just how relaxing these early meths Roundhouse locos are. You could always run yours on the bench! Cheers, Chris
