I think that is endangering life in Earth, because of bacteria possibly present on the different asteroids which remain dormant and revice once exposed to oxygen. Not to mention such waste of money when millions of people are dying of hunger every day. I would approve only if these companies that send probes to space mathced dollar to dollar for human services to the third world countries.
If you can dig on an asteroid you can dig in Africa for water first.
