lancer is easy to control
impreza is better on tarmac and in WRC
lancer is the better group a and group n car
impreza has nice lights
lancer is a rally drivers dream, especially the early models
but the thing is the difference is only really (hypothetically) 1 mm (and bodystyles differ). They are made to strict rally rules, therefore they are basically the same car, differnce is the drivebillity of the evo is better but even then it's the old models that are real drivers cars, not the new cars
