I have the Freebird DVD and they just completly blew the doors off the stones. I mean Porsche blowing the doors off a ferrari good. It was awesome to see people in Rolling Stones hats, and shirts jamming to Skynyrds tunes, and I mean just rockin out. They are gone but will never be forgotten

@GAMER0995 Rickey really did spend a lot of time at the hell house rehearsing. take a look at the demo album recorded at muscle shoals studio in alabama. you can look it up on itunes. it was 71 and a lot of the songs for the 1st actual album released under MCA are on the muscle shoals demo album. in fact, rickey wrote a few of the songs and even sang lead vocals on one. look it up. a lot of people do not know this, hence everyone is bashing rickey medlocke on here. the man is a great musician

have no clue what the fans see in ricky.. theres a lot of un true rumor theory about Eds relationship
with skynyrd, Ed blows ricky doors off, Ed King could play better blind folded, than ricky medlock
could any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. I play im not some clueless fan, Ed understands
music theory, the producers that produced LS all say Ed is a musical Genious. FACT

i remember seeing Ricky playing at a small club in ft walton bch fl after blackfoot,
way down on his luck, as a solo act, if it were not for ronnie he would be
working as a delivery guy pizza hut, many got more of the
relationship than ronnie did, 38sp molly hatchet, johnny, ricky all rode
his coattails, Gary, leon, artimus, alllen, billy. ed. all carried thier weight

I have always thought so. I mean, he was friends with them, but he wasn't really in on the tight knit closeness until way after the crash.
