i like the charlie horse analogy. i also noticed when talking to civilians, they sometimes say something that rubs me wrong but they dont mean it, they just dont understand what they just said. but if another service member said the same thing id probably laugh. its 2 completely different worlds. i can joke about a firefight comparing it to call of duty, but if someone just walks up and says the same exact thing, it would piss me off.

wow no dislikes? i guess the heartless, left wing cowards havent seen this video yet, im not in the military now and have never served but i have seen first hand how war affects returning soldiers and it saddens me greatly that the heroes that protect the rights and freedoms of other people are cussed out for being "war mongers" when they are really just trying to do there job. if you dont like the govt fighting a war somewhere tell it to youre congressman, not to a soldier

@playinlikejimi I believe you know that there will always be that bully that thinks he is superior and it is his way or the highway and we are the vanguard that must stop the madness. For if if not us, then who? Forgive me, but some of us must stand up and die a little or all the way to protect the sheeple that can't or wont protect themselves. We are like the Doberman Pincher's of the human race, loyal and protective of the USA and our way of life and we will give all to protect

@playinlikejimi It is the same for me, unfortunately I have a brother that is a BIG Left winger, he thinks people in the military are stupid and are there because they can't do anything else. He has no idea of what we do, why we do it, how we feel or the bond we form in the military. The last part of the song "One headlight" says it best, "I'm so alone I feel like someone else, man I ain't changed but I know I'm ain't the same". You are above the rest, you see so much more

It's about perspective. Civilians are often not trying to be hurtful, they are just ignorant because they lack the same perspective combat gives you.

@EIBBOR2654 yea, i'd hate to admit it because when i talk to friends and family back home, i sometimes have to remind them that im still a normal person, but at the same time, i know im not. i wouldnt call it PTSD, just a different outlook on things.

@playinlikejimi You are absolutely Right. We live in a different world from civilians, I know it pisses me off when civilians talk to me about the things I do in the military or compare what they do with us. At least the guy's and girl's we serve with have been there and through the BS, worked long hours or did the patrols. Even the guy's that were not in combat have a common bond of sorts. Hang in there buddy.
