I miss watching my cichlids doing the dance and preparing to make babies. Was very cool thing to experience. Even after I striped the female, very kewl indeed.

do u know how to breed blood parrot cichlid? my fishes was laying lots of eggs, but they never hatched. they lay eggs many times. do u know why. thanks for ur advise.

the male blood parrot is steril and can not fertilize the eggs.... the parrot you see here is a female and the male is a Texas Cichlid and they together produce the babies.. I have had 2 batches so far of about 50-200 that have hatches and are actual swimmers... but they get eaten before I can catch them and put them in a tank by themself..

Do some research, the Blood parrot is a Hybrid between 2 fish and it is man made... so in the process the males are steril.. I do not know why .. what I am saying is the blood parrot is not a GOD mad fish.. man has altered it.. a Red devil and a cichlid is bred together to create the blood parrot.. I am no expert by any means... that is just how I understand it...there is tons of articles about it on the net.. google Blood parrot..
