I served in the USAF at MacDill in Tampa Florida and Hill in Layton Utah. Grandpa was born in 1922 so he is 84.

Bill, THE Depression was a universal theme and ended in a food-throw-away culture... I remember two slices of bread per week after the war, the empty mayonaisse jars made a whole meal...first oranges to be had when I was 12...

Sometimes I wish some of the young people today would hear about how it was during the Depression. My Grandfather talks about it alot. You are a young whippersnapper compared to him Bill. :)
