Janet Kuypers reads these original poems "Needy Person", "My Turn" and "Not For Me Yet" during her live reading at the Cafe in Chicago 09/09/08 before her feature performance art show "Seeing a Psychiatrist." She pulled poems from a book she was giving away after her performance art show: the book is called "Dualioty" and is a prose book from the authors Eric Bonholtzer and Janet Kuypers. Though in the beginning of Janet Kuypers' half of the book there are editorials and essays, a majority of the material from Janet Kuypers in this book was from poetry that was converted to prose for this book. A majority of the poetry that was used for this book was poetry that she wrote in the fall of 1998, just after a near fatal car accidentshe was in (where she was stopped at an intersection but a car hit her from behind into oncoming traffic, where another car hit her, causing her to be in a coma for 11 days, where she later had to relearn how to walk and talk and eat). Poetry (that was converted to prose for this book) was primarily about trying to find someone to love her and care for her, because she felt as if she lost most everything in her life after that car accident.
