"The laws make it easier for bosses to cut penalty rates and overtime pay and it makes it easier to sack workers."

"That along with interest rates and petrol prices has made people feel very insecure about their economic future here."

"We're campaigning up until polling day to make sure people are reminded that Stewart McArthur voted for these laws."


"Your Rights at Work has a real chance of getting rid of Stewart McArthur the Liberal MP.'

"We see that as a result of the campaigning that local workers and their families have put in around the place."

"This campaign's not driven by big money or slick campaigning techniques. It's basically local workers talking to other local workers in their workplaces and in their lounge rooms and at their dining tables talking about industrial relations issues and why, you know, this government deserves to be booted out."
