as john rah sees it. eductaion in the united states has been systematically taken away from the public. it is a sham and a disgrace for a land that calls itself free and first world. the people are taught to be ignorant. ignorant is not stupid. ignorant means not knowing.

Best schools must be pubblic as well as best hospitals...in My country (that has problems and many things to learn from yours) public schools and hospital are the ones where best students and doctors go (to study and work).... Of course no one is perfect and we have other problems..we just have to learn from each other...

Unfortunately there is this assumption in America that there is only one way to do things, and if you don't do it that way, you won't be "successful" and therefore won't have an influence. So if one does find an alternate way, chances are no one will give a shit...

I think that you have some interesting things to say. In America, your job is to be a consumer and buy more things. When you start thinking about life and questioning society, that usually gets you in trouble and you are viewed as weird and non conformist by your peers. Sad but true.
